Lautrec
The history of Lautrec dates back to the beginning of the 1990s. Drawing on the heritage of the musical elements of the dark gothic, new wave and industrial traditions, they combine the now classic synthesiser, guitar, drums and vocals with studio techniques. Their cassette Lux Umbrarum, published in 1993 by the two regular members, Zoltán Virág and László Tölgyes, involving a number of guest musicians, is a combination of shivering strings, brilliant drums and melancholy vocals. After several years of silence following their Furor Seductions, - prepared but unpublished in 1995 -, their first real record, Matemsomathosis, featuring more electronics was published by Ultrahang in 2001. As Lautrec is not primarily a concert group, their appearance seems to be a special event. In addition, Lautrec is expected to introduce several pieces for the first time at the festival.
